15 MyModes MyModes are intended for specific types of movement or posture (e.g. golf, basketball, …). The O&P professional can activate and configure these in addition to basic mode (mode 1) using an adjustment app. The MyModes can be switched using the Cockpit app or movement patterns. Switching by using movement patterns has to be activated in the adjustment software by the O&P professional.

1) Tap the icon of the desired MyMode (1) in the main menu of the app. → A security question for changing the MyMode appears. 2) If you want to change the mode, tap the “OK” button. → An acoustic signal is produced as confirmation of switching.
16 Special features of the MyModes (Kenevo) 16.1 Using a bicycle ergometer The “Bicycle ergometer” MyMode allows an indoor bicycle to be used without exiting the currently selected activity mode. Note the prerequisites for switching and the differences for activation in the respective activity modes.
Page 20
→ This is recognised by the knee joint and a long beep and vibration signal is produced. If this signal is not produced, either repeat the process or switch to the “1.Basic Mode” MyMode using the Cockpit app. → This MyMode is shown in the overview in the Cockpit app.
17 Special features of the MyModes (C-Leg) 17.1 Deep sleep mode INFORMATION If the Volume parameter is set to “0” in the Cockpit app, there are no beep signals (Changing prosthesis settings). In addition to the MyModes for certain movement types, a “Deep sleep mode” MyMode can be activated using the adjustment app.
Page 22
4) Move the prosthetic leg in next to the contralateral leg, set it down and keep it still for approx. 1 second. → A confirmation signal will sound to indicate that the prosthesis has successfully switched over to basic mode. INFORMATION: If this confirmation signal does not sound, the leg with the prosthesis was not correctly repositioned and kept still.
18 Special features of the MyModes (Genium, Genium X3) 18.1 Switching from a MyMode back to basic mode Information on switching • Regardless of the configuration of the MyModes in the adjustment software/adjustment app, it is always possible to switch back to basic mode (mode 1) using a movement pattern. •...

Page 28
Parameters of the MyModes The parameters in the MyModes describe the static behaviour of the prosthesis/orthosis for a specific motion pattern. Damping behaviour is not automatically controlled and adjusted in MyModes.
23 Changing settings (Kenevo) INFORMATION The availability of the adjustment options depends on the version of the Cockpit app and the ver sion of the component. 23.1 Overview of the functions in basic mode Bicycle ergometer This change of the knee and leg angle is recognised from a sitting position after a few pedaling motions, followed by automatically switching to minimal resistances in the extension and flexion directions (indoor bicycle mode).
23.2 Overview of adjustment parameters in basic mode Flexion resistance Flexion resistance while sitting down, in the stance phase, while walking on ramps and stairs. 23.3 Training feedback signals Training Feedback signals for specific movement patterns can be activated for training purposes. Feedback –...
Page 31
INFORMATION Deactivating all feedback signals Tapping the “Deactivate all” button switches off all of the feedback signals that are displayed. INFORMATION If the “Feedback – load on prosthesis” and “Feedback – load on prosthesis forefoot - heel” feedback signals are activated simultaneously, no feedback signal is emitted.
24 Changing settings (C-Leg) INFORMATION The availability of the adjustment options depends on the version of the Cockpit app and the ver sion of the component. 24.1 Overview of the functions in basic mode INFORMATION The following parameters/functions have to be switched on in the adjustment app before they can be used in the Cockpit app: "Stance function", "Sitting function".
24.3 Overview of adjustment parameters in MyModes Parameter Meaning Basic flexion resist Level of flexion resistance when the knee joint begins to flex. ance Increase in flexion resistance (starting with the “Basic flexion resist Flexion resistance ance” parameter) when flexing the knee joint. The knee joint locks at a increase certain flexion angle, which depends on the settings for the “Basic flexion resistance”...
25 Changing settings (Genium, Genium X3) 25.1 Mute mode (silent mode) Activating mute mode (silent mode) turns off the audible feedback signals and the vibration sig nals. However, warnings in case of component errors are still generated. INFORMATION Connecting the battery charger automatically deactivates mute mode again. 1) When the component is connected, tap the icon in the main menu.
25.3 Overview of the functions in basic mode INFORMATION The following parameters/functions have to be switched on in the adjustment app before they can be used in the Cockpit app: , , , , , , . Stance function The stance function offers the possibility of relaxed standing, even on uneven or sloping surfaces, thanks to locked knee flexion.
Volume Setting of the volume of the acoustic signal for the confirmation signals. Warn ing signals in case of errors are always emitted at the highest volume. Pitch Pitch of beep signal for confirmation tones 25.5 Overview of adjustment parameters in MyModes Parameter Meaning Basic flexion resist...
26 Changing settings (Genium X4) 26.1 Deep sleep mode When this mode is activated, the knee joint can be placed into what is known as a deep sleep, in which power consumption is reduced to a minimum. The knee joint offers no functionality in this mode.
Page 38
Start-to-walk With this function, the knee joint can be flexed more easily when starting to take a step without initiating a swing phase. This also makes walking in con fined spaces easier since initial flexion is possible not only from the step posi tion via stance release/swing phase initiation but also from the standing posi...
Page 39
Stance function The stance function offers the possibility of relaxed standing, even on uneven or sloping surfaces, thanks to locked knee flexion. The stance function is activated as soon as the knee joint is at rest and under load. It is unlocked again with a forward or backward rollover, or by extending or unloading the knee joint.
26.3 Overview of adjustment parameters in basic mode Flexion resistance This parameter sets the resistance against knee flexion. This resistance takes effect when descending stairs or ramps and when sitting down. For certain functions such as “Late stance phase support, Supported sitting down, ...”...
Late stance phase support This parameter sets the flexion resistance behaviour starting in the mid stance phase while walking down ramps and stairs. The step should be selected so that walking down steep ramps/stairs is suffi ciently supported. On flat ramps, the selected step is automatically reduced to ensure sufficient ground clearance in the extension.
Page 42
Parameter Meaning Brake knee When the function is activated, the knee joint is locked in the flexion direction when weight is placed on it. Further flexion is possible after taking weight off the joint. Stance release If the user makes movements or plays sports with a resistance that is constant or depends on the flexion angle, a swing phase can be initi...
27 Changing settings (Meridium) 27.1 Setting the heel height with the cockpit app 1) Once the component is connected and in the desired mode, tap the icon in the main menu. → The navigation menu opens. 2) Tap the “Heel height” menu option. 3) Follow the on-screen instructions.
Heel resistance Plantar flexion resistance. How fast the forefoot is lowered when weight is placed on the heel. Roll resistance This parameter defines how easy the rollover is. 27.4 Overview of adjustment parameters in MyModes Parameter Meaning Heel resistance Plantar flexion damping. How fast the forefoot is lowered when weight is placed on the heel.
28 Changing settings (C-Brace) 28.1 Overview of the functions in basic mode INFORMATION Confirmation of the successful transfer of the parameters A beep and vibration signal is emitted by the orthosis while changing the parameters using the Cockpit app. If the parameter “Volume” is set to “0”, only a vibration signal is emitted. Stance function The stance function offers the possibility of relaxed standing, even on uneven or sloping surfaces, thanks to locked knee flexion.
Page 46
Parameter Meaning Flexion resistance Value for speed at which flexion resistance increases as the knee angle increase increases This parameter can only be changed in the “User defined” MyMode. Volume Volume of beep signal for confirmation tones (e.g. when checking the charge level, switching MyModes).
