■ Setting Favorite channels

For more efficient scanning, add desired channels as Favor-
ite channels, or clear the Favorite for unwanted channels.
Untagged channels will be skipped during scanning. Favor-
ite channels can be independently assigned to each channel
group independently.
(USA, INT, CAN, ATIS)
1 Select the desired channel to set as a Favorite channel.
2 Hold down [FAV• ] for 1 second to set the displayed
channel as a Favorite channel.
• " " appears on the function display.
3 To cancel the Favorite channel setting, hold down [FAV•
for 1 second.
• " " disappears.
Clearing (or setting) All Favorite Channels in the Selected

■ Starting a scan

First, set the weather alert function, priority scan function,
scan resume timer and auto scan function, using the SET
mode.

1 Make sure the desired channel group
is selected. Move between channel groups by re-

• When a signal is received, the scan pauses until the signal dis-
appears, or resumes after pausing 5 seconds, depending on the
scan resume timer setting. (Channel 16 is still monitored during
a priority scan.)
• Push [▲]/[▼] to check the scanning of Favorite channels,
change the scanning direction or resume the scan manually.
3 To stop the scan, push [SCAN•DUAL].
