Turning PostBase Vision M2 on / off
ON: Briefly press the
ON/OFF button.
Wake up from standby:
Touch display or briefly press
the ON/OFF button.
OFF: Press the ON/OFF
button for 3 seconds.
Franking
1. Check / adjust settings
– Postage set?
– Letter weighed?
– Other settings for franking
as desired?
– Sufficient postage available?
– Correct account set?
– Reset item counter?
2. Position the letter
To insert a letter into the letter
slot:
– side to be printed face up
(address field is visible)
– place the right edge against
the wall of the letter slot and
– push in as far as it goes.
As soon as the sensor (in the
back right hand corner of the
letter slot) detects the letter,
the PostBase Vision M2 grips
the letter tightly and prints
(franks) it.
A message informs you about
the printing process.
3. Remove the franked letter
Do not remove the letter until
the Home screen reappears
and the PostBase Vision M2
releases the letter.
Displaying / resetting the piece counter
Creating and saving shortcuts
1. Set the postal product
Set the product that you would
like to save as a shortcut.
2. Press and hold the shortcut button
Press the button 'New' or
an existing shortcut
for about two seconds.
Note: Once all of the storage
spaces have been assigned,
the 'New' button will no longer
Press longer
appear.
3. Confirm
To save the shortcut, confirm
the query in the pop-up with
'Yes'.
4. Finished!
Name (mailing data, if nec-
essary, strongly abbreviated)
The shortcut button shows the
Postage saved postal product.
Weight
Note: The first shortcut is the default used after turning on or waking
up from sleep mode.
Selected menu functions
Load postage into your machine, print receipt
Display / print certain parameters and information on
used postage
Change, clean ink cartridge,
show ink level, test print
Use special features
(print only advert / text, incoming mail stamp)
Enter, edit, delete text
Synchronise PostBase Vision M2 with the data centre,
upload postal data, load updates, send diagnostics data to
the service, show status (last successful synchronisation)
Set date for the franking imprint (pre-date)
Configure low postage warning (postage loading
reminder): define the threshold
Display usage data (number, postage usage per account),
print report (optional), reset counter to zero
Rename, delete shortcuts, reset to factory settings
Configure network settings (LAN, Wi-Fi) for connecting
to the data centre
Set tone signals (profile)
Adjust display brightness
Use Printed Postage Impressions (optional),
available PPIs: 1st Class, 2nd Class and Economy
Show important system parameters (machine ID, soft-
ware version, rate table, equipment etc.)
