© Partial reset
If you want to initialise the operating conditions (VFO fre-
quency, VFO settings, set mode contents) without clearing
the memory contents, message memories, etc., a partial re-
setting function is available for the transceiver.
'* While pushing [(vFo)CLR] turn power ON to partially reset
the transceiver.
© Full reset
Reset the the CPU before operating the transceiver for the
first time, or when the internal CPU malfunctions.
' While pushing [FUNC] + [V] + [VFO] turn power ON to reset
the transceiver.
* Then number of memory channels is set to 40.
Y CAUTION: Resetting the CPU returns all programmed
% contents to their default settings.

Optional HM-75A functions
When using an optional HM-75A with the transceiver, the
switches on the HM-75A function as follows:
@ A SWITCH
Toggles the monitor func-
tion ON and OFF.
@B SWITCH
Change mode between
VFO and memory.

» Change the frequency
in the selected tuning
steps in VFO mode.
» Change memory chan-
nel in memory mode.
'> Start programmed scan or memory skip scan when
pushed for 0.5 sec
'» Adjust the audio level when the monitor function is ON.

NOTE: Switches can be assigned different functions by
Z, using microphone simple mode (p. 34).

CAUTION: When connecting the HM-75A to the trans-
ceiver, make sure that power to the transceiver is turned
OFF, otherwise the CPU may malfunction.
