– Remove the trim molding -1- near the Left Multifunction But‐
tons on Steering Wheel - E440- -2- and Right Multifunction
Buttons on Steering Wheel - E441- -3- using the Door Trim
Pliers - 3392- .
– Remove the trim molding -1- near the -arrows A and B- from
the steering wheel.
– Release and disconnect the connectors.
– Remove the trim molding -1- with the Left Multifunction But‐
tons on Steering Wheel - E440- -2- and Right Multifunction
Buttons on Steering Wheel - E441- -3-.
– Remove the bolts for the Left Multifunction Buttons on Steering
Wheel - E440- -2- and Right Multifunction Buttons on Steering
Wheel - E441- -3- on the back of the trim molding -1-.
– Remove the Left Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel -
E440- -2- and Right Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel
- E441- -3- from the trim molding -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

For a better installation, clip in the trim starting from the bottom.

Removing
The removal and installation is described for the left side. Re‐
moving and installing on the right side is identical.
– Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.
– Remove the ignition key, if equipped.
– Remove the Right Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel -
E441- / Left Multifunction Buttons on Steering Wheel - E440- .
