Output

Current output
4 to 20 mA with superimposed digital communication protocol HART, 2-wire
The current output offers a choice of three different operating modes:
• 4.0 to 20.5 mA
• NAMUR NE 43: 3.8 to 20.5 mA (factory setting)
• US mode: 3.9 to 20.8 mA
Signal on alarm in accordance with NAMUR recommendation NE 43.
4 to 20 mA HART:
Options:
• Max alarm: can be set from 21.5 to 23 mA
• Min. alarm: < 3.6 mA (factory setting)

A damping affects all outputs (output signal, display). Damping can be enabled as follows:
Factory setting: 1 s
See the separate technical documentation (Safety Instructions (XA)) on

The device' s linearization function allows the user to convert the measured value to any
units of height or volume. User-defined linearization tables of up to 32 value pairs can be
entered if necessary.
