General category
Problem 1: Scanner cannot be switched on
Solution:
Ensure that the AC power adapter is securely
plugged into the power outlet.
Verify that the power adapter is providing the
correct voltage output.
Check if the scanner is in sleep mode. If the
"Power" button indicator is green, it indicates that
the scanner is in sleep mode. Press the Power
button to wake up the scanner. Once the scanner
is awake, the "Power" button indicator will turn
white.
Problem 2: White lines or stripes appear on the
scanned image
Solution:
Clean the scanner glass and rollers located on the
inner sides of the scanner. If sticky substances such
as glue or white-out were discovered, please wipe the
areas where the lines appeared carefully with sufficient
pressure. If this problem still cannot be solved after
cleaning, it may be because the internal glass is
scratched. Please contact the customer service center
of Microtek.
Problem 3: Pages are missing from the scanning
Solution:
When the double-sheet detection function is not
enabled, pages may be missing inadvertently from
double-sheet feeds. Enable the "Ultrasonic detection"
option in the "Paper feed" page of the scanner
parameter settings. If pages were skipped due to
double-sheet feeds of documents, please refer to the
problem item in the previously mentioned "Paper jam"
problem".
IMPORTANT:
The paper separation rollers and the feed rollers
in your scanner are designed to ensure smooth
document feeding. Over time, these rollers may
wear out, causing issues such as paper jams or
double-sheet feeds. If you experience such problems,
please check the condition of the rollers and replace
them if necessary. For detailed instructions on roller
replacement, please refer to the scanner's manual.
