Installation and regulation of power tool
elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the thread.
Assembly / disassembly of the dust extraction
pipe (see fig. 1)
• Insert pipe 16 into adapter 17 (see fig. 1.1).
• Install adapter 17 (with inserted pipe 16) into duct 19
(see fig. 1.2).
• Disassembly operations do in reverse sequence
Installing / replacing accessories (see fig. 2-3)
After prolonged operation, the cutting
disc 23 can become very hot, remove it
using gloves. This will also reduce the
risk of injury by the cutting edge.
• Turn the power tool upside down
• Unscrew screws 20 and remove plate 13 (see fig. 2.1).
• Press the spindle lock 22 and after making sure that
spindle 25 is locked, keep spindle lock 22 in a pressed
position (see fig. 2.2).
• Using flange wrench 18, unscrew clamping nut 21
(see fig. 2.2).
• Remove cutting disc 23 and inner flange 24 from
spindle 25 (see fig. 3.1).
• Clean all removed parts
• Install inner flange 24 and cutting disc 23 on spin-
dle 25 Caution: when installing cutting disc 23,
pay attention to the teeth direction (see fig. 3.1).
It is strictly forbidden to install cutting disc 23 as
shown in figure 3.2.
• Hold spindle lock 22 in the pressed position, screw
on clamping nut 21 and tighten it with flange wrench 18
Release spindle lock 22
• Rotate cutting disc 23 several times to make sure
that it is installed without skews and can rotate freely
• Install plate 13 and fix it with screws 20
Initial operating of the power tool
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identification plate.
Switching the power tool on / off
Short-term switching on / off
To switch on, press and hold on / off switch 14, to
switch off - release it
Long-term switching on / off
Switching on:
Push on / off switch 14 and lock it in the position with
lock-on button 15
Switching off:
Push and release on / off switch 14
Dust suction during the power tool op-
eration
Dust collection decreases dust concentra-
tion in the air and prevents build up of dust
at the work station
While operating the power tool, always use a
vacuum cleaner suitable for collecting process-gener-
ated dust The vacuum cleaner can be connected to
pipe 16
Recommendations on the power tool op-
eration
Adjusting the position of the angle / height stop
(see fig. 4-5)
Changing the tilt angle
• Loosen butterfly screw 12 (see fig. 4.1).
• Install angle / height stop 9 as shown in figure 4.2.
Indicator 11 and scale 10 show the tilt angle of angle /
height stop 9 (see fig. 4.2).
• Tighten butterfly screw 12 (see fig. 4.1).
Changing vertical position
• Loosen butterfly screw 2 (see fig. 5.1).
• Move angle / height stop 9 as shown in figure 5.2.
Indicator 26 and scale 1 show the lift height of angle /
height stop 9 (see fig. 5.2).
• If angle / height stop 9 is at position 0 (on scale 1,
the bottom position of angle / height stop 9), this is
the preset position for milling a 4 mm keyway in the
center of a 17,5 mm thick workpiece (standard chip-
board thickness)
• Tighten butterfly screw 2 (see fig. 4.1).
Adjusting the milling depth (see fig. 6-7)
During operation, the end of limit screw 5 comes into
abutment with stepped stop 7
Using the preset values of the milling depth (see
fig. 6, 7.1)
• To change the milling depth, rotate stepped stop 7 to
select one of three preset positions (see also the mark-
ings on the side surface of stepped stop 7):
• position "0" is for type "0" dowels (size 47x15x4),
the milling depth is 8 mm;
• position "10" is for type "10" dowels (size 53x19x4),
the milling depth is 10 mm;
• position "20" is for type "20" dowels (size 56x23x4),
the milling depth is 12 mm
Fine adjustment of the milling depth (see fig. 6)
• It is possible to adjust the milling depth more pre-
cisely This may be necessary after sharpening cutting
disc 23 or when using dowels of other sizes
