ANTENNA CONNECTIONS
AM ANTENNA
The AM loop antenna supplied with the receiver should
be connected to the AM antenna terminals. The antenna
should be placed at a distance from the receiver, and
should not be allowed to touch metallic objects. Avoid
placing it near CD players, personal computers, television
. sets, and other devices generating radio frequencies.

L'antenne cadre AM fournie avec |'ampli-syntoniseur doit
étre raccordée aux bornes d'antenne AM. L'antenne doit
étre placée a une certaine distance de l'ampli-syntoniseur
et elle ne doit toucher aucun objet métallique. Eviter de
la placer prés de lecteurs de CD, d'ordinateurs person-
nels, de téléviseurs et autres dispositifs générant des fré-
quences radio.
Setting up the AM loop antenna
@ Insert the claw on the bottom of the antenna into the
groove on the leg.
@ Place the antenna on a level surface and rotate it to
locate the orientation that yields the best reception.
@ Use the attachment hole in the leg to screw to a wall
or other location, then insert the claw on the bottom
of the antenna into the groove in the leg (fixing the
antenna in the direction that gives best reception).

Installation de I'antenne cadre AM
@ Insérer la languette se trouvant en bas de l'antenne
dans la gorge sur le pied. ,
@ Placer l'antenne sur une surface a niveau et la tour-
ner pour déterminer l'orientation qui donne la meilleure
réception.
© Utiliser 'orifice de fixation dans le pied pour visser
celui-ci 4 un mur, etc., puis insérer la languette se trou-
vant en bas de l'antenne dans la gorge sur le pied
(fixant l'antenne dans le sens qui donne la meilleure
réception).

External AM antenna
@ Indoor AM antenna
Provide a vinyl-coated wire (5 to 6 meters long). Se-
cure one end to the AM terminal and the other end
to a wall or other high location.
@ Outdoor AM antenna
If reception is still poor even when a stead antenna has
been stretched out indoors, stretch out a vinyl-coated
wire and secure it outdoors.
NOTE:
Do not detach the AM loop antenna when using the ex-
ternal AM antenna.

Se procurer un cable a revétement en vinyle (5 4 6
métres de long). Fixer une extrémité 4 la borne AM
et l'autre extrémité & un mur ou & un autre point élevé.
@ Antenne AM extérieure
Si la réception n'est pas encore satisfaisante, méme
lorsqu'une antenne-cable a été installée a l'intérieur,
utiliser un cable a revétement en vinyle et le fixer a
l'extérieur.
REMARQUE :
Ne pas enlever I'antenne cadre AM lors de I'utilisation
d'une antenne AM externe.
