Brief information about Layer 3 interfaces.
Link status:
•
ADM—The interface has been shut down by the network
administrator. To recover its physical layer state, use the undo
shutdown command.
•
Stby—The interface is operating as a backup interface. To see the
primary interface, use the display interface-backup state command.
This field displays UP (s), where s represents the spoofing flag, when the
following conditions exist:
•
The data link layer protocol of the interface is UP.
•
The link of the interface is an on-demand link or not present.
This attribute is typical of interface Null 0 and loopback interfaces.
Interface name.
Physical link state of the interface:
•
UP—The interface is physically up.
•
DOWN—The interface is physically down.
•
ADM—The interface has been administratively shut down. To bring
up the interface, use the undo shutdown command.
•
Stby—The interface is a standby interface.
Data link layer protocol state of the interface:

UP—The data link layer protocol of the interface is up.
•
DOWN—The data link layer protocol of the interface is down.
•
UP(s)—The data link layer protocol of the interface is up. However,
