7.4.5. Gluing

1. After all work completed, glue 2 Adjustment Pins, and assembling the Dust Proof Ring and Filter Ring,
Decoration Ring.
7.4.6. Procedure of Visual Checking
Preparation: Prepare the RP Chart M size (SUKZ000035) and RP Chart L-Size (SUKZ000034 or SUKZ000068).
Attach the repaired Lens on master camera body.

Mount master body on tripod.

Reset the camera setting, then set the parameters

as follows:
- Mode dial : A (Aperture-Priority AE Mode)
- Photo style : Standard
- Aspect ratio : 4:3
- Aperture : Max. aperture
- Focus mode : 【S】([AFS])
- ISO : 100-200
- OIS : OFF
- White Balance : AWB
- AF Mode : 1 point
(Focus subject in AF area)
- Metering Mode : Multi
(Focus and measure the subject on the center of the screen)
- Picture Size : L
- Picture Quality : Fine (JPEG Give priority to the picture quality)
Adjust distance between the camera and RP-Chart so that

the picture is fully displayed on the LCD monitor, under the
condition of the horizontal/vertical level in correct status.
Zoom TELE position ---- RP Chart M-Size
Zoom WIDE position ---- RP Chart L-Size
* The standard illuminance on the surface of all the 5 points of
the chart described as shown in the figure with red marking
is 1000±150 lux.

Focus on the chart with the Maximum aperture state
self-timer mode to prevent camera shake.
Adjust the lighting condition so that the shutter speed of the picture being taken will be 1/30 - 1/125.

(The Shutter Speed can be confirmed with EXIF data.)
Take a picture and check the captured picture with "View Actual Size" on the PC screen.

(Refer to the "7.4.4-1. Checking point and observation point".)
By visual check : No partial out-of-focus are found on the entire picture.
The appearance of perceived resolution of the entire images are well balanced.
Observation point : Four corners(Especially the wedge-shaped mark closed to the angle of view 0.7 area.)
If "partial out of focus" area were found, try from 1st lens frame adjustment.

If it does not recovered although being tried more than three times, perform disassembly/assembly and/or
replace the part again.
