Matrox Odyssey XG architecture

Matrox Odyssey XG is a high-performance PCI/PCI-X display board. It features
a 256-bit graphics processing unit (GPU), two high-speed link ports, and up to
128 Mbytes of on-board memory. In addition, Matrox Odyssey XG supports fast
writes, which effectively double the data rate between the GPU and Host.

Matrox 256-bit GPU

The Matrox 256-bit GPU features a 190 MHz processing core with support for
advanced 2D and 3D acceleration. In addition, it features a 32-bit PCI controller
and a 128-bit memory interface.
The on-chip PCI controller provides the GPU with a 32-bit, double-data rate
(DDR) bus to the Host. The GPU can communicate with the Host at up to 66
MHz (effectively 133 MHz), for a maximum data rate of 528 Mbytes/sec.
The GPU features a 128-bit DDR memory interface, which runs at 190 MHz.
This provides a bandwidth of 6.1 Gbytes/sec between the GPU and on-board
main memory.
