CP Exchange Jump Instructions
The exchange jump instructions (table 4-8) exchange the current process
registers (formatted as an exchange package) with another set stored in CM, and
do the following:
When executed with CP in Virtual State monitor mode, the processor switches
from monitor to job mode.
When executed in Virtual State job mode, the processor switches from mob to
monitor mode and the system call bit sets in the monitor condition register

In either case, the
P
register stored in the outgoing exchange package points
to the next instruction that would have executed if the exchange had not
occurred.
This instruction can cause the following exception conditions.
