Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das ISOMETER® überwacht den unsymmetrischen Isola-
tionswiderstand R von ungeerdeten DC-Hauptstrom-
F
kreisen (IT-Systemen) mit Netznennspannungen von
DC 12...120 V. Die maximal zulässige Netzableitkapazi-
tät C beträgt 50 µF.

Die bei einem Isolationsfehler eines Netzleiters
gemessene Verlagerungsspannung wird mess-
technisch ausgewertet. Durch das passive
Messverfahren können nur unsymmetrische
Isolationsfehler erfasst werden. Gleich große
Isolationsfehler von der Plus- und Minusleitung
gegen Erde (d.h. symmetrische Fehler) werden
nicht erfasst.

Intended use
The ISOMETER® monitors the asymmetrical insulation
resistance R of unearthed DC main circuits (IT systems)

with nominal system voltages of DC 12...120 V. The
maximum permissible system leakage capacitance C
50 uF.

In the case of an insulation fault on a power con-
ductor, the measured residual voltage is evalua-
ted to determine the insulation resistance RF.
Only asymmetrical insulation faults can be detec-
ted using the passive measurement method emp-
loyed in this ISOMETER®. Equally large insulation
faults between the positive and negative power
conductors to earth (i.e. symmetrical faults) are
not detected.
