Calibrating volumes

A direct relationship exists between the rotation of the motor shaft (P-axis) and the vertical movement of the pipet piston (i.e.,
volume aspirated or dispensed). Volume calibration defines the number of units that the P-axis motor must move to accurately
deliver a given volume of liquid.
Volume calibration is performed using the "Volume calibration" wizard. During installation, the preinstalled settings can be set
up using "Option 1" from the "Volume calibration" wizard.
Before starting the first run on a newly installed QIAcube HT volume calibration has to be done. If no volume calibration has
been done an error is shown at start of a run.
Opening the "Volume calibration" wizard
1. Start the QIAcube HT Software.
For more details, see Section 5.2, page 48.
2. From the options that appear, select Empty Project (last used layout) or Empty Project (default layout).
3. From the Options menu in the menu bar, select Robot Setup/Calibrate Volumes.
The "Volume Calibration Wizard" dialog box appears.
