(1) Current Status
Click to display the current status of the printer.
Displays the total number of printed sheets, number of printed sheets after replacement of head,
and error codes.
(2) Print
Print button. As the UP-D2500 (For UC and CE) does not have a print button, click this when
printing without using the printer driver.
(3) Error Code
Information on mechanical deck errors
Displays the latest error information during mechanical operations. The contents correspond to
the NG_CODE1 data.
(4) Service Command
Writes and reads service commands to the printer.
Use the service commands to perform electrical and mechanical adjustments.
(5) Port
Used to set the printer port used on the personal computer.

In the Compatible-Nibble mode, due to the structure, the printer cannot communicate in
error states.
It can operate only in the error-free states (when all LEDs on the front panel are OFF).
3) In the ECP mode, the printer can be used even in error states by setting the printer port
of the personal computer to the ECP mode. (However the ECP mode may not operate for
some personal computers. For details, refer to the instruction manual for the personal
computer. Details are also provided in the instructional manual for the printer driver
provided with the UP-D2500/2550.)
