Configuring the Printer
After installation, you need to configure, from printer properties in Printers folder of Windows95
(Right click the "SONY UP-D2500 Series" icon). Or, you can also choose Printer Setup" from the
File menu of the application software in use.
Note that in the "SONY UP-D2500 Properties" dialog, the "General" and "Details" and "Sharing"
property sheets are Windows95 original. On the other hand, the "Paper" and "Graphics" property
sheets are UP-D2500 Series specific.
<Paper Property>
Proper
Orientation
: Set paper orientation to Portrait or Landscape.
Copies
: You can specify up to 200 copies.
Ribbon Type
—_: "Standard", "Lamination", and "Black & White" are available. Select
"Standard" when using Postcard Printing Pack (UPC-2070E), Sticker Printing
Pack (UPC-20S04, UPC-20S 16), or Transfer Printing Pack (UPC-2050). Be
sure to choose a ribbon type that matches the actual ribbon used in the printer.
If they do not match, then an error message will appear when you try to print,
and printing will stop.
Image Layout: "1 up", "4 up", and."16 up" are available. Use this setting when printing on
Sticker Printing Pack (UPC-20S04, UPC-20516).
The maximum printable pixels for each divide mode are as follows:

640 x 480
16UP
320 x 240

: Click to display the version information of this driver.
Restore Defaults : Set the printer driver back to its defaults.
<Graphics Property>
INY UP-D2400 Properte
Red, Green, Blue: Adjust each of the colors. Valid range is from -32 to +32.
Dark, Light
: Set Dark and Light values. Valid range is from -32 to +32.
Sharp
: Set the sharpness of image outline. Valid range is from 0 to 7. The higher the
number, the more emphasized the outline will become.
Gamma
: Adjust halftone. Valid range is from -32 to +32. The higher the number, the
denser the halftone will become.
Quality
: Select between "310 dots per inch" and "155 dots per inch." Selecting "155
dots per inch" will speed up printing at the cost of lower quality.
Scaling
: Range is from 10% to 400%. Change the value here only if this is not possible
in the print dialog of the application software. For such application software,
changing the Scaling value here may not work.
Restore Defaults : Restore all settings of the "Graphics" property sheet to the factory defaults.
