If the active lane assist has a mal f unct ion, the

indicato r li ght in the inst rumen t cluste r
di splay t urns off and one of the followi ng
messages appears:
Audi active lane assist: currently not availa-
ble. No camera view
This message appears if the camera is unable
to detect the li nes. This could happe n if :
- The camera field of view ¢ page 95, fig. 82
is dirty or covered in ice. Clean the area on
t he windshie ld.

This function is not available in all countr ies.
- The camera field of view is fo gged over. Wa it
until the fog has cleared before switching
the act ive lane assist on again.
- The system has been unable to detect t he
lanes for an exten ded period of t ime due to
road conditions. Switch the active lane as-
sist back on when the li nes are more visible.
Audi active lane assist: currently unavailable
There is a te mporary act ive lane assist mal-
f unctio n. Try swi tch ing t he active lane assist
on again later .
Audi active lane assist: system fault!
Drive to an authorized Audi dealer or qualified
repair fac ili ty immediately to have the mal-
funct ion corrected.

steering vehicle!
This message appears if you are not steering
by yoursel f. If th is is t he case, act ive lane as-
sist does not switch off, but it is "not ready" to
provide a warning. The system can help you
keep the vehicle in the lane. However, you are
responsible f or dr iving the vehicle and must
steer it yourse lf .
