Electronic immobilizer
The immobilizer helps to prevent unauthor -
ized use of your vehicle .
A comp ute r chip inside your key automatically
deact ivates the elect ronic immobilizer when
t he key is inside the vehicle. When you remove
the key from t he vehicle, the elect ronic immo-
bilizer is automa t ically activated once again.

WARNING

Always t ake the key with you whe n you
leave t he vehicle. The key can disarm t he
electronic engine immobilize r and permit
an unauthorized person t o start the engine
and enable operation of the vehicle sys-
tems such as power window or power su n-
roof leading to se rious personal injury .

- The vehicle cannot be started if an unau-
thorized key is used . The vehicle may not
start if anot her radio device such as a key
for another vehicle or a transponder is
located on t he key ring.
