2.3.9 Brush (See Figure 2-14.)
1. Take out the screw and remove the brush, and clean the
commutator with ston
2. Replace and install the brush as before, check that the
brush contacts the center of the commutator.

2.3.10 Tension Band (See Figure 2-15.)
1. Take out the screw and disengage the tension band from
the tension pole.
2. Move the FF brake and remove the tension band.
. Replace and install the tension band as before.
4, Perform the tension pole position check and the back
tension check (refer to sections 2.4.2 and 2.4.4).

2.3.11 Pick-up Head (See Figure 2-16.)
1, Disconnect connector CN5 from the SERVO board.
2. Take out the screw and remove the pick-up head.
3. Replace the pick-up head and reassemble by reversing
the above steps, check that the pick-up head is toward
the center portion of the drum shaft.
4. Perform the drum pulse level adjustment and PB/REC
switching point adjustments. Refer to sections 3.5.4,
3.5.5, and 3.5.1.
