@ CHARGE button (LADEN)
Press to charge the Ni-Cad battery pack attached to
the rear of the recorder. The CHARGE/LADEN indi-
cator lights when charging starts.
@ CHANNEL button (KANAL)
Press to tune to preset stations; the A" side for
scanning in the direction of increasing channel numbers
and the ""\"" side in the direction of decreasing chan-
nel numbers, The selected channel will appear in the
channel display.

This LED lights when the CHARGE/LADEN button
@ is pressed.

@ Week indicator
"1." or "2." illuminates to show the week for
making preset recordings, "1."" stands for the
period within one week and "2." within the second
week from setting.
@ Day indicator
illuminates both for continuous day indication and
for day presetting for future recordings.
@® Repeat indicator (WOCH.)
Illuminates when the REPEAT/WIEDERHOL.
button @ is pressed to show that the entered
data for timer recording will be retained for serial
recordings.
@START indicator
Flashes for switch-on time setting.
® TIMER indicator
Mluminates when the timer button (TIMER/SCHAL-
TUHR) @® is pressed to ON/EIN (=) to show
that the recorder has been properly preset for timer
recording.
® CLOCK indicator (UHR)
Always illuminates except in the Programme Set
mode.
@ Clock/Start time display
@®STOP indicator
Flashes for switch-off time setting.

Numerals 1 through 8 illuminate successively each
time the PROGRAM/AUFZ. NR. button @ is
pressed to show which programme is ready for
entry.
@ Stop time display/Sweep indicator

Flashes to show that the channel is ready to be
entered for timer recording.
@ Set indicator (ABST.)
Hluminates when the CH. SET/KANALEINST.
button @® is pressed for pre-tuning and flashes
during sweep scanning.
@® Channel indicator (TV PR.)
Ituminates to show that the displayed channel is
currently being received by the tuner.
@ 1. UM, U indicator (EK: U only)
Flashes when the corresponding tuning button (I,
It, U) @ is pressed, showing that sweep scanning
of that particular frequency band is being per-
formed. Also functions during manual tuning using
the MANUELL "+" and "'-" buttons,
@® Channel display
Numerals 1 through 32 (EK: 16) are successively
displayed to show which channel is selected for
recording, timer setting or for pre-tuning.
