IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY
Symptoms
Check points
No power is applied to the
TU-S10EG/HR-S10EG,
TU-S10EK/HR-S10EK system
Is the power cord disconnected?
— Connect it.
— If it fails, reconnect it after a few seconds.
Is the rear panel MAIN POWER/NETZ switch of the tuner set to ON/EIN?
Is the tuner's CHARGE/LADEN indicator lit?
— Press the tuner's CHARGE/LADEN button to turn the indicator off.
No power is applied to the tuner
section while clock is functioning
Properly.
Is the recorder correctly connected to the tuner?
Is the recorder's POWER/BETRIEB button ON?
Is the tuner's TIMER/SCHALTUHR button in the OFF/AUS position?
Playback picture does not appear
while the tape is running.
Is the TV receiver's channel selector set to the correct video channel?
— Set to the RF converter channel,
TV broadcast cannot be recorded.
Is the INPUT SELECT/EINGANGS-WAHL switch set to LINE/AUX?
— Set to Tv.
Some channels are skipped over
when selecting a channel.
Those channels are preset to be skipped over. If you need them, restore them.

Channel cannot be switched,
1s recording in progress?
— During recording, you cannot change the channel. To change the channel,
stop recor ding temporarily by pressing the PAUSE button and select
another channel, Press the WIEDERG. button to restart recording.
Timer recording impossible.
Is the clock time correct or the timer correctly set?
— Check.
Have you pressed the tuner's TIMER/SCHALTUHR butto to ON/EIN?
Is the PLAY/WIDERG. indicator lit?
— The loaded cassette may be without its safety tab.
Press the TIMER/SCHALTUHR
button to OFF/AUS and, after powering
the recorder, replace the cassette with a recordable one.
