Tr a nsmi ss ion
There is a system malf unction in t he tr ansmis-
sion. The transm ission is switching to emer-
gency mode. This mode only shifts into cer-
tain gears or will no longer shift at all. The en-
gine may stall. Drive to your authorized Audi
dealer or qualified repair facility immediately
to have the malfunction corrected .

Transmission malfunct ion: No reverse
You can conti nue driving
There is a system ma lf unction in the transmis-
sion. The transmission is switching to emer-
gency mode. This mode only shifts into cer-
tain gears or will no longer shift at all. The en-
gine may stall. You cannot engage the reverse
gear. Drive to your authorized Audi dealer or
qualified repai r faci lity immediate ly to have
the ma lf unction correct ed.

and shift to park.
Do not cont inue driving. Select the P selector
lever position and see your authorized Audi
dealer or qualified repair facility for assis-
tance.

Note
If the transmiss ion switches to emergency
mode, you should take the vehicle to an
author ized Audi dealersh ip as soon as pos-
sib le to have the cond ition corrected.
Selector lever emergency release
Applies to vehicles: with S tronic tr ansmiss ion
If the vehicle's power supply fails , the selec -
tor lever can be released in an emergency .

"' You now have access to a pin. Using a screw-
driver or simi lar object, press the pin down
and hold it in that position

"' Now press the interlock button and move
the selector lever to t he N posit ion .
The selector lever can only be moved from the
P position if the key is in the lock and the igni-
t ion is switched on. If the power supply fails
(for example, the battery is discharged) and
t he vehicle must be pushed or towed, move
the selecto r lever to th e N position fi rst using
the emergency release.
