- Ligh t bul bs are pressurized and could ex-
plode while t hey are being changed caus-
ing serious persona l injury.
- Work w ith due care when handling the
high-volta ge section of gas discharge
(xenon) lights*. Failure to do so could re-
sult in death or serious injury.
Have the bulb replaced or t he connection
repaired by your aut horized Audi Service
department.

Audi adaptive light : defective
If the indicator light turns on and th is mes-
sage appears, there is a malfunction in the
adapt ive light system. The headlights still
f unction .
Go to an authori zed dealership to have the
headlights or the contro l unit for the adapt ive
light repaired.

Light/rain sensor
Applies to vehicles: with light/ rain sensor

Automatic headlights / automatic wipers

If the indica t or li ght turns on and t his mes-
sage appears, the light/ rain sensor is not
f unct ioning correct ly.
For saf ety reasons t he low beams are tu rned
on permanen t ly with the switch in AUTO.
However, you can conti nue to turn the lights
on and off using the light switch. You can st ill
control all functions that are independent of
the rain sensor through the w indshield w iper
lever.
Contact your authorized Aud i dealer as soon
as possible to have the problem corrected .

Sport differential: Overheating

signific antly due to t he sport y dr iving manner .
Drive in a less sporty manner unt il the t em-
perat ure ret urns t o the normal range and the
indicato r li ght switches of.

WARNING
Contact your author ized Audi dealer or a
qualified workshop if the sport differential
is faulty or malfunct ioning . The repair
must be performed by train ed perso nnel
using the correct oil in order t o ensure
safety.
