Launch Control Program
Applies to vehicles: with S tronic transmission
The Launch Control Program provides the
best acceleration possible when starting from
a st op.
Requirement: The engine must be at operat -
ing temperature and the steering wheel must
not be turned.

Traction control (ASR): Off. Wa rning! Re-
stricted stabil it y appears in the driver infor-
mation system display.
... Move the selector lever to the D/S position
or select t he dynamic driving mode in Audi
drive select * ¢ page 110 .
... Press the brake pedal st rongly w it h your left
f oot and hold it down for at least one sec-
ond.
... At t he same time, press the accelerato r
pedal down completely with your right f oot
unti l the engine reaches and maintains a
high RPM.
... Remove your foot from the brake pedal
within 5 seconds ¢ _&..

- Always adapt you r driving to the traffic
flow.
- Only use the Launch Control Program
when road and tr affic condit ions allow it
and ot her dr ivers will not be endangered
or annoyed by your driv ing and t he vehi-
cle's acceleration .
- Please note t hat t he driving wheels can
spin and the vehicle can break away

switch the ASR back on by pressing the

Tips
- The transmission temperature may in-
crease significantly after using the
launch control program. If that happens,
the program may not be available for a
few minutes. It w ill be available again af-
t er a cool-down period .
- When accelerating using the Launch
Control program, all vehicle parts are
subject to heavy loads. This can result in
increased wear .
Transmission malfunction
Applies to vehicles: with S tronic transmission
[O] Transmission: Press brake pedal and se-
lect gear again.
Press the brake pedal and select the desired
selector lever position again. You can the n
continue driving.
[O] Transmission overheating: Please drive
conservatively.
The transm ission temperature has increased
significantly due to the sporty driving manner.
Drive in a less sporty ma nner until the tem -
perature returns t o the normal range and the
indicato r li ght switches of.
[O] Transmission malfunction: You can con-
tinue driving
There is a system malfunction in the transmis-
sion. You may cont inue driving. Drive to your
authori zed Audi dealer or qualified repair fa-
cili ty soon to have the malfunction corrected .
[O] Transmission malfunction : Limited driv-
ing functionality
