OPERATION
STEERING
Steering the
wind rower
is
controlled by
the
tractor
remote hydraulic
system.
This
steering
system
allows
the
windrower
to follow
directly
behind
the
tractor,
make a
full
cut to either
side,
or any
position
in between.
NOTE:
To
allow hitch to
swing,
latch reId must be
in field
position
(0).
If rod is
in
transpmt
position
(Al, pivot rod retainer
(C)
up
to allow moving
rod
from
(A)
to
(D).
NOTE:
Hoses should be
connected
so
that
moving
tractor control
lever
(E)
forward
steers
the
machine
to
the
right
and moving
the
lever
back steers
the
windrower
left.
The
control
is operated momentarily
fm
steering
and must
be
returned
to
OFF
or NEUTRAL
position as
soon
as
the
windrower
reiaches
the
desired
path of
travel.
T
he center pivot
provides the
OPl3rator
the
opportunity
to
move
the
wind rower into field
position
easily, a llows right
angle
turns in
either
direction,
steering around objects
o
n both
sides
and straight line
field
cutting on either side of the
tractor.
NOTE:
Before
steering
the
windrower,
the
header
should be raised enough
that the
skid
s;hoes
clear
the
ground.
