A.2.1 Anticorrosion measures to protect the device's metal parts during trans-
portation, storage, or at its final location
In terms of protecting the metal housing, the Teldat 5Ge-Rail router was purposely designed to be kept in an en-
closed space, shielded from harsh weather conditions, and never exposed to extreme environmental factors.
The device housing is constructed using galvanized iron sheet, which is further coated with an an epoxy and polyes-
ter resin-based powder paint. This coating serves both aesthetic and anti-corrosion purposes. These qualities enable
the housing to withstand any potential external corrosive agents, such as oxidation, that the device may encounter
during transportation, storage, or when placed in its final location. Remember, it is crucial to ensure that the router is
always placed indoors, in a sheltered environment, and away from extreme environmental or meteorological condi-
tions as previously mentioned.

However, there are several important considerations and measures to keep in mind when it comes to transportation,
storage, and final deployment of devices in order to prevent rusting of the metal parts. Here are some guidelines to
follow:
If storing the devices outdoors becomes necessary, take the following steps and minimize the duration of this situ-
ation:
To ensure the longevity of your device, it is advisable to limit its exposure to outdoor conditions, particularly in sea-
sons characterized by extreme temperatures that can hasten the oxidation process of metal components.
A.2.2 Cleaning
When cleaning your device, it is best to use a damp or anti-static cloth to prevent any damage. Avoid using solvents
as they can potentially harm the device. Additionally, employing a dry cloth is not recommended as it can generate
electrostatic charge, which may result in electronic malfunction. Take extra care to ensure that no moisture can enter
the device and cause any form of damage.
A.2.3 Software updates
For the Teldat 5Ge-Rail router, software updates are available. For information on new versions, please contact your

• Store devices indoors or in dry, clean areas away from chemicals.
• Avoid subjecting the devices to sudden temperature changes that could cause
condensation and lead to rusting. Aim to maintain a consistent temperature for
the devices.
• When transporting and storing the devices, place them on a wooden or plastic
pallet to prevent direct contact with the ground.
• Protect the devices with a waterproof cover made of plastic, canvas or similar
material.
• Allow for some air circulation by leaving a gap between the devices and the
waterproof cover.
• Place the devices on wooden or plastic pallets, ensuring they are not in direct
contact with the ground. If possible, set the pallet at a slight angle to facilitate
drainage of any water that might collect on the waterproof cover.
• Regularly inspect the storage area to ensure there is no moisture or condensa-
tion buildup on or around the stored devices.
