Wheels and Tyres
Using the tyre sealant
You can use the tyre sealant to seal small
punctures, particularly those in the tyre s tread.
The tyre sealant can be used at ambient
temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F).
WARNING: The tyre sealant is unable
to seal punctures if:
there are cuts or punctures in the tyre
greater than 4 mm.
the wheel rims are damaged.
you have driven at very low tyre
pressures or with deflated tyres.

Contact your McLaren retailer

Remove the tyre sealant from the luggage
compartment and follow the instructions on the
container.
NOTE: If possible, locate the cause of
the puncture and position the wheel so
the puncture is at the lowest point to
enable the sealant to be more effective.
Have the punctured tyre replaced as soon as
possible.
WARNING: Have punctured tyres
replaced. McLaren do not recommend
that punctured tyres are repaired.
WARNING: If the tyre sealant comes
into contact with your eyes or skin,
immediately rinse thoroughly with
clean water, change out of clothing
which has been in contact with the
tyre sealant. If an allergic reaction
occurs, contact a doctor immediately.
WARNING: Keep the tyre sealant out
of reach of children. If tyre sealant is
swallowed, immediately rinse the
mouth thoroughly and drink a large
amount of water. Do not induce
vomiting. Contact a doctor
immediately. Do not inhale tyre
sealant fumes.
NOTE: After using tyre sealant, the tyre
valve, incorporating the tyre pressure
monitoring system sensor, will have to
be replaced.
