Before You Drive
Opening and Closing
Service covers - 720S and 765LT
Spider
Removal
WARNING: The service covers can be
very hot and there is a risk of severe
burns. Only remove the service covers
once they have cooled down.
WARNING: The exhaust tail pipes can
be very hot and there is a risk of
severe burns. Only remove the
service covers from the side of the
vehicle.
WARNING: There is a risk of injury if
the service covers are removed, even
when the engine is not running.
Engine components become very hot
and there is a risk of severe burns.
The engine ignition system carries a
high voltage. Never touch ignition
system components; ignition coils,
ignition wiring (spark plug
connections).
WARNING: If the engine is stopped
due to the Eco Start-Stop system, the
engine may restart without warning.
1.
Fully open the tonneau cover.
See Tonneau Cover - Spider models , page
1.20.
2.
From the side of the vehicle, grasp the front
edge of the left-hand service cover and pull
upwards to release it.
3.
Rotate the service cover upwards towards
the centre of the vehicle to remove.
NOTE: Place the service cover inside the
vehicle to avoid the risk of damage.
4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to remove the right-
hand service cover.
NOTE: The engine oil filler can be
accessed by removing the right-hand
service cover only. Both service covers
and the rear deck vent must be removed
to access the coolant filler.

Installation
WARNING: The exhaust tail pipes can
be very hot and there is a risk of
severe burns. Only install the service
covers from the side of the vehicle.
1.
Position service cover on the side of the
vehicle.
2.
Applying even pressure, push the service
cover down, ensuring the fixings engage.
3.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to install the other
service cover, if it has been removed.
4.
Ensure both service covers are secure once
installed.
5.
Close the tonneau cover.
