5.2 WELDING PROCESS CYCLE - MIG/MAG - 4T

5.2.1 BUTTON FUNCTION ON THE TORCH - 4T and alt. 4Т
a) World standard button mode – 4Т
b) Alternative button mode – alt. 4Т
It is used during the welding of long welds. The function works as follows: when the button
on the handle is pressed for the first time, the control signal is transmitted to the device,
the gas pre-cleaning function of the welding zone is activated (the gas valve opens); when
the button is released for the first time, the signal is transmitted to switch on the source
and the wire feeder motor. From this moment the welding process starts, the voltage
increasing function at the set time [t.uP] is started as well as additional functions (e.g. pulse
mode) may be activated, all in accordance with the welding process cycle shown in the
sequence diagram in point 5.2.
After the second pressing of the torch button, the voltage decreasing function and wire
feed speed at the set time [t.dn] are activated and the device moves into idle mode. When
the button is released for the second time, the final post gas function of the welding zone
[t.Po] is activated (the gas valve closes with a delay).
To change the value of any function, see cl. 6.1.
