5.1 WELDING PROCESS CYCLE - MIG/MAG - 2T

To change the value of any function, see cl. 6.1.

5.1.1 BUTTON FUNCTION ON THE TORCH - 2T

It is used for welding short and medium length welds. It works as follows: after pressing the
button on the handle, the signal for starting the function of pre-cleaning the welding zone
with shielding gas [t.Pr] is transmitted to the device (the gas valve opens), then the signal
for switching on the source and wire feeder motor is transmitted. From this moment, the
welding process starts, the voltage increase function [t.uP] is started at the same time, as
well as additional functions (e.g. pulse mode) may be started, all in accordance with the
welding process cycle shown in the sequence diagram in point 5.1. When the button is
released, the function of voltage decrease and wire feed speed at a defined time [t.dn] is
activated and the device enters idle mode. The final post gas function of the welding zone
[t.Po] is then triggered (the gas valve closes with a delay).
