Connecting to WLAN
• Connect both of the supplied WLAN antennas to the WLAN sockets on the back of the PSD 3100 HV.
Depending on your reception and set-up situation, the antenna can be mounted directly on the socket
on the back or together with the magnetic base supplied.
• For setting up the WLAN connection, open the menu for system settings and then the
menu item Network.

If your network includes a DHCP server, please select the ON setting at this
point. In this mode an IP address is automatically assigned to the PSD 3100 HV
by the router. The screen shows only the MAC address and the message DHCP
state ON. In this case the address input fields shown in the illustration do not
appear in the menu.

If your network does not include a DHCP server, please select the OFF set-
ting. In this mode you must configure the following network settings manually.
Please ask your network administrator for the addresses to be entered for your
network.
IP Adress of the PSD 3100 HV
Network mask
IP Adress for the router
Name / IP of the name server (optional)
Stores the network parameters, and restarts the PSD 3100 HV with the new
settings
Closes the menu: data already entered is discarded
(radio connection)
Setting / Explanation
The MAC address is a hardware address which uniquely identifies your
machine. The address displayed is determined by the manufacturer, and cannot
be altered.
Shows the connection state: WLAN, LAN or not connected.
Activates the WPS function to connect the PSD 3100 HV to the WLAN via WPS.
See chapter Setup via the WPS function.
Starts the scan for WLAN networks that are within reception range.
