In order to permit most universal use of the input "Input" i. e. to adapt them to the
most diverse output voltages of electronic Organs and instruments, the level Controls
(31) are provided next to the "Input". If the volume is too high or if a distortion
occurs, the volume (input voltage) can be set separately for each input and/or adapted
to the total volume of the device by means of these Controls, If the volume of the
organ reproduction is not sufficient in spite of the turned up level control, we
recommend to use one of the front inputs. Insufficient output voltage of the electronic
organ is the cause. As control input "Input" (32) this input can be used for ampli-
fying Signals of other amplifiers. For increasing the output of the "GIGANT" ampli-
fier, a second "GIGANT II" amplifier can for example be connected through the
controi input (see also under control output "Output" (35),

Pin 1 = Recording
Pin 3 = Playback
Pin 2 = Shielding
The connection with the above-mentioned units is accomplished by means of the
connecting cable type VK 1.5 (diode cabie) from the red echo/reverberation jack (33)
to the red or red-dot-marked jack of the echo/reverberation unit. Via the echo/rever
beration control (20) (applies analogously to the other 5 inputs) and the contact 1
of the echo jack (33), a component voltage get to the recording amplifier in the
echo reverberation unit. When the Signal has been converted into echo and/or rever-
beration, it comes again into the "GIGANT II" amplifier, via contact 3 in the echo
jack (33), where it is amplified together with the original.
Tape (32):
This jack serves for recording and playback of tape recordings.

Since the recording Signal is picked up before reaching, the totalizing volume con
trol (13), tape recording is independent of the setting of the totalizing volume con
trol. Düring tape playback, the aforementioned control does, of course, work.
Output (35): The control output jack serves the purpose of Controlling further ampli
fiers, e. g. of existing house instalations, public address combinations
mounted in racks, etc. or for connecting two amplifiers "GIGANT",
"EMINENT I" or "EMINENT II", etc.
Connection to an existing house amplifier installation, for example, is accomplished
from the "OUTPUT" jack (35) via a single-core shielded cable to an input of the
house amplifier.

If the power output of the "GIGANT II", is to be doubled by a second "GIGANT II"
amplifier (with associated loudspeakers), the 2 amplifiers can be connected. Con
nection from the "OUTPUT" jack (35) to one of the jacks "Input" (32) 0f the second
"GIGANT II" amplifier is effected bv means of a cable VK 1.5. In this connection
remember that the level control (3tj
extent that overdriving of this input is not possible. The volume required can now
be set by means of the totalizing volume control of the second "GIGANT II"
For power distribution the "GIGANT II" can also be connected to an "GIGANT"
"EMINENT I or II", "BASS-KING I", etc. The above described applies analogously.
MONITOR (36)
There is a monitor-output (36) for control purposes and for monitoring in central
control rooms etc. An amplifier, for example EMINENT
might be connected. By means of the control "MONITOR" (10) the output is controlled
and the volume of the sequence amplifier regulated.
Since this control is situated behind the master volume slider control (13), auto-
matically the volume of the monitor circle will be controlled with the adjustment of
the master level. Consequently always the total impression can be controlled.
When coupling back via the monitor-loudspeaker the control (10) must be truned
back somewhat.

To turn on the unit, depressed the button "on" (4). After a short waiting time, the
button "standby" (3) may also be depressed; the unit is ready for Operation.
IMPORTANT! Never depress both buttons at the same time or put the unit into
Operation by plugging in the cord line while the unit is switched on, otherwise the
mains fuse may blow. The "standby" switch (3) serves for Switching off the unit partially
during pauses and to give longer valve life during periods when the unit is non
operative. By again depressing the button (3), the unit is immediately ready for
Operation. The unit is switched off by again depressing the button (4).
H) Adjustment and Operation:
When all Connections have been made and the unit has been switched on, the
individual Controls may be set. Before this is done, every musician should select his
input which he should remember and continue to use in the future. Remembering
the individual settings greatly facilitates re-setting at a different location. Moreover,
make sure to observe the following instructions:
a) Put totalizing volume control (13) as far as possible.
b) Put volume Controls (16) for each input as far as necessary for desired volume
to be turned back (to the left) to such an
