WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE Das Blitzsymbol innerhalb eines gleichseitigen Drei- ecks soll den Anwender auf nicht isolierte Leitungen und Kontakte im Geräteinneren hinweisen, an denen hohe Spannungen anliegen, die im Fall einer Berührung zu lebensgefährlichen Stromschlägen führen können.

  • Page 5 FRONTSEITE KANAL A, B Pegelregler für Kanal A, B Diese Pegelregler dienen zur Einstellung der Eingangsempfindlichkeit der Endstufe. Sie sollen zwischen “0“ und -6 dB stehen. Bei zu geringer Empfindlichkeit können Verzerrungen in den Mischpultausgangsstu- fen entstehen, die natürlich dann vom Prozessorteil der Endstufen nicht ausgeregelt werden. IN Eingangsanzeigen LO/HI Kanal A, B Die Eingangsanzeigen sind vor den Eingangspegelreglern angeordnet und zeigen die vom Mischpult kommenden Signale an.

    FRONTSEITE EQUALIZER SECTION Die mit LO und HI gekennzeichneten Regler bzw. Drehschalter in der Equalizer Section dienen zur Anpas- sung des Systems an unterschiedliche Boxenkonfigurationen und zur Korrektur von raumakustisch beding- ten Problemen. a) HI Drehschalter Dieser Drehschalter hat drei verschiedene Positionen und dient für akustische Korrekturen im Mittel-Hoch- tonbereich.
  • Page 7 RÜCKSEITE Netzsicherung für LO-Endstufen (Kanal A/B) Die linke Sicherung dient zur Absicherung der Stromversorgung für die Tieftonendstufen in beiden End- stufenkanälen A und B. Netzsicherung für HI-Endstufen (Kanal A/B) Die rechte Sicherung dient zur Absicherung der Stromversorgung für die Mittel-Hochtonendstufen in bei- den Endstufenkanälen A und B.
  • Page 8 RÜCKSEITE Endstufenausgangsbuchsen Für die Endstufenkanäle A und B sind jeweils 2 parallelgeschaltete Ausgangsbuchsen vorhanden. Dabei sind die Ausgänge der Bassendstufen jeweils auf PIN 1+ und PIN 1- geführt, die Ausgänge der Mittel-Hochtonendstufen auf PIN 2+ und PIN 2-.   • Page 9 AUFBAUHINWEISE AUFBAUHINWEISE ▀ Zur Beschallung von Hallen oder Zelten von der Schmalseite her werden die Boxen links und rechts, leicht nach innen gedreht, auf die Bühne gestellt. Durch diese Anordnung ergibt sich eine scheinwerferartige Abstrahlcharakteristik in Längsrichtung der Halle oder des Zeltes. Müs- sen große Reichweiten erzielt werden, so sollten die Mittel-Hochtonboxen auf jeder Seite über- einander gestellt werden (“STACKING”).
  • Page 10 EINSTELLHINWEISWEISE EINSTELLHINWEISE Klangregler am Mischpult auf Mittelstellung (lineare Einstellung) drehen. Vorhandene Terz- oder Oktavequalizer auf “Bypass” schalten oder Equalizerregler auf Mittelstellung schieben. Mikrofon anschließen und mit dem LO-Regler in der Equalizer Section an der Endstufe den Bassanteil so einstellen daß die menschliche Stimme “natürlich” klingt. Mit dem 4kHz Dip Eq kann die Lautstärke des oberen Mittenbereichs (4kHz) nach den persönlichen Klangvorstellungen justiert werden.

    FRONT PANEL CHANNEL A, B Level Controls For The Channels A, B These level controls are used to adjust the power amplifier’s input sensitivity. They should be positioned between their “0“ and -6 dB mark. Too low settings for the input sensitivity can result in distortion in the output stages of the connected mixing console which then off course would also effect the processor sta- ge of the power amplifier.
  • Page 16 FRONT PANEL EQUALIZER SECTION The controls and rotary selector switches of the equalizer section marked “LO” and “HI” are used to match the system to different loudspeaker system configurations as well as for the compensation for acoustic problems of the location. a) HI Rotary Selector Switch This rotary selector switch can be set to three different positions.

    LF-signal lines. Grounding Screw The grounding screw is located next to the ground-lift switch. When the PM2600 is included within a rack- shelf system, this screw is meant for the connection of an “earth bar”. Whenever several devices are in- stalled in a rack-system, they should be connected to a common ground, since their lacquered front panels prevent a perfect galvanic inter-connection between enclosures.
  • Page 18 In case a mixing console with unbalanced outputs is connected to the PM2600, you are presented with two alternatives: either bridging PIN1 and PIN3 of the power amp- lifier input connectors or disconnecting the PIN3 at the plug of the connection cord.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Installation Instructions When installing a sound reinforcement system for halls or festival tents over their entire length, ▀ the loudspeaker systems have to be set up on the left and right sides of the stage, slightly poin- ting to the center, resulting in a beam-shape coverage pattern over the entire length of the hall or festival tent.

Bypass any existing 3rd-octave or octave equalizers or set the EQ-controls to their center (neutral) position. Connect a microphone and by using the LO-control of the power amplifier’s equalizer section adjust the bass response, so that the human voice sounds “natural”.

    FACE AVANT CHANNEL A, B (Voies A,B) Contrôles de niveau des voies A et B Ces contrôles de niveau servent à régler la sensibilité d’entrée de l’amplificateur de puissance. Ils doivent être po- sitionnés entre les marques “0“ et -6 dB. Des réglages de sensibilité d’entrée trop faibles peuvent provoquer de la distorsion dans les étages de sortie de la console de mixage connectée ce qui par voie de conséquence affectera également l’étage du processeur dans l’amplificateur de puissance.

Si une console de mixage ayant des sorties asymétriques est connecté au PM2600, vous avez le choix entre deux alternatives : soit ponter les broches 1 et 3 des connecteurs d’entrée de l’amplificateur de puissance, soit déconnecter la broche 3 sur la prise du cordon de connexion.
