E) Monitor loudspeaker
Jack (28) permits the Connection of a monitor loudspeaker "Monitor-Speaker" for
monitoring the own performance. In Order to eleminate falling-in of feedback action
(howling) as much as possible, this output is adjustable through the volume control
(30) an moreover is limited in the output power. Every loudspeaker with an impedance
between 4 and 16 ohms may be used.
F) Input and output connectors:
ATTENTION! Never connect a microphone, guitar or another device when the totalizing
volume control (13) is turned up, otherwise the loudspeaker might be damaged by
a sudden current inrush.
Six universal input jacks located on the side permit the alternative connection of
dynamic microphones or electronic instruments (guitars, etc.). A special arrange-
ment of the input stages permits the direct connection of lowimpedance microphones
without additionally requiring a microphone transformer (cable transformer). It is
very important in this conection that the microphone connection plug is symmetrically
wired: One insulated wire must be soldered to contact 1 and one to contact 3 and
the shielding must be soldered to contact 2. As some microphone types depart from
the general Symmetrie Standard -
in the connection plug such microphones are
wired with an insulated wire to contact 1 and with the other insulated wire together
with the shielding to contact 2 - changing of the soldering connections of the insu
lated wire from contact 2 to contact 3 is necessary.
The plug of on electronic instrument (guitar, etc.) is to be connected to contact 1 =
insulated wire and to contact 2 = shielding.
All input cables must be shielded. For all plugs the shielding must be connected
to pin 2.
universal for microphone or instrument
Input 1 to 6 (9): Channel I . . . VI
(3-pole standard-jack)
for dynamic microphones 150 to 500 ohms

ATTENTION! Very important! Depending on the prevailing unse of the "GIGANT II"
as vocal or instrumental ampliffer, use the respective radiators for vocal transmission
or boxes for instrumental transmission.
