VIDEO DISPLAY" Menu are
effective only for tape playback.

The factory-preset of "DATE/TIME'> in the "1_] VIDEO
DISPLAY" Menu is "OFF".
OFF: CamcordeCs display (except the date, time and
time code) is not shown on LCD or connected TV.
[LCD]: Camcorder's display is shown only on LCD
and not on connected TV (except the date, time and
time code).
LCD/TV: Camcorder's display is shown on both LCD
and connected TM
Playback Sound
During tape playback, the camcorder detects the sound
mode in which the recording was made, and plays the
sound back. Select the type of sound to accompany
your playback picture. According to the menu access
explanation on pg. 31, select "SOUND MODE" or
"t2BIT MODE" from the Menu Screen and set it to the
desired parameter.
[STEREO IOl®lOI]:
Sound is output on both "L" and "R"
channels in stereo.
SOUND L [_: Sound from the "L'>channel is output.
SOUND R _] :Sound from the "R'>channel is output.
MIX: Original and dubbed sounds are combined and
output in stereo on both "L" and "R" channels.
[SOUND 1]: Original soulld ISoutput on both "L" and
"R" channels in stereo,
SOUND 2: Dubbed sound is output on both "L" and
"R" channels in stereo.
NOTES:
• For GR-D90/DTO Owners: You can also use the provided
remote control's AUDIO button _ to change the output
sound (without having to access the Playback Menu).
Make sure you point the remote control at the
camcorder's
remote sensor _.
• The camcorder cannot detect the sound mode in which
the recording was made during fast4orward
or rewind.
During playback the sound mode is displayed
in the upper
left corner.
• The "SOUND MODE" setting is available
for both
12-bit and 16-bit sound. (in previous models' functions,
"12+bit" is called "32 kHz" and "18 bit" is called "48 kHz".)
Display
ON SCREEN setting:
For playback sound,
tape speed and tape
running.
DATE/TIME setting:
For date/time.
TIME CODE setting:
For time code.
