ENGINE OFF

1. Loosen the throttle and let the engine running at idle speed for a few minutes.
2. Place the switch in "O" STOP position.

USING THE SAW

Before starting the task, read the "safety standards". It is recommended to cut easy trunks. This also
helps you to become familiar with the unit.
Always follow the safety rules. The machine should only be used for cutting wood. It is forbidden to
cut other materials, vibrations and recoil would be different and safety requirements would not be
respected. Do not use the machine as a lever to lift, move or break objects. Do not use the machine if
there is any object between this and the working surface. It is forbidden to apply to the machine tools
or applications that are not specified by the manufacturer.
Note
It is not necessary to force the saw into the cut. Apply only light pressure while
running the engine at full speed.
If the saw chain is caught in the cut, do not try forcing it out. Use a wedge or a
lever to open the cut.

PROTECTION AGAINST KICKBACK

This machine is equipped with a chain brake that stops the movement of a chain if reversal occurs
during operation. Check operation of chain brake before start putting the engine to full speed for
1 or 2 seconds and pushing the shield forward. The chain should stop immediately with the engine
running at maximum speed. If the chain is slow to stop or does not stop, replace the brake band and
clutch drum before using the unit.
It is extremely important to verify the operation of chain brake before each use. Also verify that the
teeth are sharp in order to maintain the risk of backlashes within safe limits. Kickback is increased if
you remove the safety devices, if maintenance is not performed correctly or if the bar or chain are
incorrectly replaced.
