8. Before starting the engine, make sure the chain is not in contact with another object.
9. Carry the machine only while the engine is off, facing the guide bar and chain back and
keeping the exhaust away from the body.
10. Before each use, examine carefully the chain in search of worn, loose or damaged parts.
Never use the machine if it is damaged, improperly adjusted or not completely and securely
assembled. Check that the chain stops moving when you release the throttle control trigger.
11. All services of the saw, except the indicated in the list of the user manual, must be
performed by a professional service.
12. Make sure to turn off the engine before lowering the machine.
13. Work carefully when cutting shrubs. The brittle material of these can be caught in the chain
and fly to the operator or produce a pull that can cause it to lose balance.
14. When cutting a limb that is under tension, be prepared to jump back to avoid being beaten
when the tension is released from the fibers of the wood.
15. Do not cut in bad weather with poor visibility or extreme temperatures. Make sure there
aren't dead branches that could fall.
16. Keep handles dry, clean and free of fuel mixture.
17. Use the machine in places with adequate ventilation. Never start the engine in an enclosed
area or inside a building. The escape gases contain carbon monoxide, which is a very
dangerous substance.
18. Protect yourself against recoil. This is an upward movement which occurs when the end of
the guide bar contacts with an object. This can cause you to lose the control of the machine,
which is extremely dangerous.
19. When transporting the machine, make sure that the guide bar is properly set.
