To install a PDU in the above positions, use the fasteners and screws delivered with the DEVICE to secure the PDU to a specific position.

    IPM-8221 2.5 PDU Discovery through PLANET NMS Controller (NMS-500/NMS-1000V) The IPM-8221 is the IP-based Switched Power Manager which can be centrally monitored by PLANET NMS Controller. Follow the steps below to discover the managed PDU through PLANET NMS controller (NMS-500/NMS-1000V). Please ensure NMS and each managed PDU use a different static IP in the same subnet before physically connecting to the managed network.

    IP-based 8-port Switched Power Manager with 2 Cascaded Ports IPM-8221 4.1.1 Socket Access When you log in to the PDU, the user interface will be displayed with the default socket access page and a menu. The PDU status and socket status contents are displayed on the main block.

     Cascade Setting The cascade feature allows the connection of other IPM-8221 PDUs. Users only need to access the web page of the Master PDU to centrally manage all connected IPM-8221 PDUs. Please following the steps as below for example.

It is strongly recommended to retain the default delay setting.

You can set an IP address and interval to test whether the network is normal. After the modification, click the Save button to save the settings.

The PDU supports the NTP time server protocol and automatically updates the system time.

The PDU device provides the means that, in each case, your computer must be on the same network segment as the switch.
