Notes on installation
Observe the following notes:
• Only for blinds with 230 Vw:
– All grounding connections must be securely connected. Damage to the wire
connections represent a potential safety or functionality concern and should
be checked by a qualified person before installation.
– Power to the blind must be via a double pole isolation device with a minimum
contact opening of 3.5 mm.
• Ensure cables are not damaged during installation. Routings of cables through
walls or bulkheads must be protected and insulated by appropriate bushing,
grommets or cable conduits.
• The product must be connected to the correct power supply as specified on the
product label. The motor in the product is designed to cut out when a set current
is exceeded but the supply should be fused to protect the wiring to the product.
• Secure all cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
• Only use power supply units and control elements recommended by the manu-
facturer to prevent damage or faults during operation caused by incompatible
electrical components.
• Control devices (e.g. switches) must be installed in visible locations.
• Where electric supply failures are possible, an emergency backup power supply
should be installed because the powered blinds do not have a manual control
function.
• Do not connect two or more motors to one switch as serious damage will occur.
• Do not connect one motor to two switches as serious damage will occur.
• Ensure that the correct power supply is used for the supplied blind:
– 12 Vg: Rated power 12 W
– 24 Vg: Rated power 19.2 W
– 230 Vw: Rated power 115 W
• One regulated power supply of the required specification is required per motor
as failure to do so may cause the motor to function improperly.
• Any adjustment of set stop positions should only be made using the method
specified for the motor type to avoid damage to the motor.
