CAUTION
 Normally, use the outside position to keep
the windscreen and side windows clear and
quickly remove fog or frost from the wind-
screen.
If high cooling performance is desired, or if
the outside air is dusty or otherwise contami-
nated, use the recirculation position. Switch
to the outside position periodically to
increase ventilation so that the windows do
not become fogged up.
 Use of the recirculation position for an
extended time may cause the windows to fog
up.
NOTE
 If effective cooling performance is desired,
use the recirculation position.
NOTE
 When the engine coolant temperature rises to
a certain level, the air selection is automati-
cally switched to the recirculation position
and the indicator lamp (A) comes on. At this
time, the system will not switch to the out-
side position even if the air selection switch
is pressed.
 When the outside air temperature is high, the
system will not switch to the outside position
even when the air selection switch is pressed
if the air conditioning is operating. This is to
protect the air conditioning compressor and
is not a failure.
Cooling
Operate switches as shown in the illustration
according to your purpose.
Manual air conditioning
CAUTION
 If high cooling performance is desired, set
the air selection switch to the recirculation
position and operate the temperature control
switch to lower the temperature.
Switch to the outside position periodically to
increase ventilation so that the windows do
not become fogged up.
Maximum cooling
Press the MAX COOL switch to maximize
the cooling output, and the MAX COOL indi-
cator (A) will be shown in the display. Press
the switch again to return to the previous con-
dition.
