3.21 WORK ON THE LOADER ATTACHMENT

Work on the loader attachment must be carried out only
by personnel with special knowledge of the Shovel.
Improper working on the attachment can cause severe
accidents with personal injury.
If you are not sure how to carry out the work on the
attachment contact your local Komatsu Service Station
for support.
OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
Wear safety clothing, goggles, respirator and other safety
devices, whenever working conditions make this necessary.
Provide hoists of sufficient capacity to lift heavy units. Refer to
the separate "Assembly Procedure Manual" filed in volume 2
binder for more information.
Before working on the loader attachment lower it to the
ground, stop the engine and cycle all hydraulic control levers
to relieve all pressure before disconnecting hydraulic lines.

Lifting gear, tools and other suspension systems must be in
good condition and of sufficient lifting capacity.
Be sure hydraulic cylinders and attachment components are
properly supported from hoist and securely fastened before
removing supporting pins.
Floors must be clean and dry. After draining operations be
sure all spillage is cleaned up.
