(6] VIDEO INPUT SELECT switch
This switch is used to select the connector to
which a video signal is input: the VIDEO IN
connector or S VIDEO IN connector.
S-VIDEO: records a Y and C signal input
through the S- VIDEO IN connector.
LINE: records a video signal input through the
VIDEO IN connector.
(7) EDIT switch
Set this switch to ON when duplicating a signal.
This will prevent degradation of the video
signal.
ON: Duplicating the signal
OFF: Normal operation
[8] FRAMING switch
This switch is used to set whether the VTR
perform color frame controls when the VTR is
recording a scene transition.
ON: performs color frame controls. Normally,
keep the switch to this position.
OFF: does not perform color frame controls.
[9] SYSTEM SELECT switch
This switch is used to select the color system of
a video signal to be played back.
PAL: To play back PAL-recorded signals.
Normally, set this switch to this position.
NTSC 4.43: To play back NTSC-recorded
signals using a monitor which can display
signals of multiple color systems, such as
Sony PVM-1442QM.
