Pre-recording Preparation
This section explains the necessary preparation prior to recording.
Three audio recording systems are supported for the audio signal input through the
AUDIO IN connectors on the rear panel.

¢ Hi-fi recording: records an input audio signal onto the video track after frequency
modulation . This type of recording enables the recording of a wide dynamic

range, compared wiih normal recording.
® Normal recording: records an input audio signal onto the audio track. This type of
recording is suitable for recording with a microphone.
© Four-channel recording: records an input audio signal in both the hi-fi and normal
recording systems onto each track simultaneously. This type of recording enables
the simultaneous recording of four audio signals.
This chapter explains recording, how to dub audio signals,
timer recording and sensor recording (where the VTR
automatically starts recording a signal from a satellite system).
