| Dubbing Audio Signal

You can dub audio signals onto a previously recorded tape. The audio signal is
recorded onto the track used for normal recording. You can select which channel is
to be recorded: channel-1, channel-2, or channel-1
and channel-2.
For details, refer to "Menu items and their functions" on page A-3(E).

Input the audio signal to be dubbed through the MICROPHONES connector on the
front panel or through the AUDIO IN NORM connector on the rear panel. If a
signal is input through both connectors, the signal input through the
MICROPHONES CH-1! connector is recorded.

Select the channel for the dub audio signal.
For details, see "dub" under "Menu items and their functions" on page
A-3(E).
Set the HiFi REC switch on the sub panel to OFF.
Set the CH-2 METER switch to AUDIO.
Set the MONITOR OUT METER switch to NORM.
Adjust the audio dubbing signal level with the AUDIO LEVEL NORM
controls while monitoring the AUDIO LEVEL meter.
To prevent the distortion caused by excessive input, set the LIMITER switch
on the rear panel to ON.
ON: The limiter circuit is activated.
OFF: The limiter circuit is deactivated.
