Checking Level Accuracy
1.
Set up the Piper on the trivet assembly, level the Piper with the trivet
feet, and set the grade counter to 0.000 %.

Set up a transit or automatic level as shown in the illustration approx-
imately 30 m (100 ft) from the Piper.
3.
Take grade readings approximately 30 m (100 ft) on either side of the
transit. These readings become A1 and A2.
