Description
Applies to veh icles: with three -zone climate cont rol or four-
zone automat ic climate control
The climate control system warms, cools and
adds humidity to the a ir in the veh icle interior . It
is the most effect ive when the windows a nd sun-
roof* are closed . If the temperature
inside the
pa rked vehicle becomes ve ry wa rm, opening the
window briefly will speed up the coo ling process.
In all heating mode functions except
defrost,
the
blowe r only sw itches to a highe r speed once the
engine coolant has reached a cer t ain tempera-
t ure.
Condensation from the cooling system can dr ip
and form a puddl e of water unde r the veh icle .
This is normal and does not mean t here is a leak .
Pollutant filter
The po llutant filter removes pollutants s uch as
dust and pol len from the air.
The air pollutants filter must be changed at the
interva ls specified in your Warranty & Mainte-
nance booklet, so that the a ir cond it io ne r can
properly work.
If you drive your vehicle in an area with high air
pollut ion, the filter may need to be changed
more frequently than spec ified in you r Audi War-
ranty & Maintenance booklet . If in doubt , ask
your author ized Audi Se rvice Advisor for advice .
Key coded setting s
Three-zone climate control:
The b lowe r setting
a nd a ir dist ribution are stored automatically and
assigned to the remote contro l key that is in use.
Four-zone automatic climate control:
The cli-
ma t e cont rol sett ings a re a utomat ically stored
and assigned to the remote con t rol key that is in
use.

Reduced visibility is dangerous and can cause

windows be free of ice, snow and condensa-
tion .
- Comp letely fam iliarize yourse lf wit h the
prope r use and function of the heat ing and
ve ntilation system and espec ially how to de-
fog and defrost t he windows .
- Never use t he winds hield wiper/washer sys-
tem in free zing weathe r unt il you have
wa rmed t he windshie ld fi rst, using the heat-
ing a nd ve nti lation system. The washer solu-
tio n may free ze on t he windsh ie ld and re-
duce visibility.

bee n damage d, sw itch the syste m off to
avoid furthe r dam ag e a nd have it inspec t ed
by a q ualified dea lership .
- Repairs t o t he Audi air conditioner requi re

assistance .

By reducing the amou nt of fuel you use, you
a lso reduce the amo unt of poll utants emitted
into the a ir.

Tips
- Keep the air int a ke s lot s (in front of the
windshield) fr ee from ice, snow and debris
in order to maintain the proper function of
the climate contro l system.
- The energy manageme nt system may switch
t he seat heating * o r rear w indow defroster
off temporarily. These systems are availab le
again as soon as t he energy balance has
been restored.
- Air escapes t hrough vents under the rear
window. When plac ing items of cloth ing on
t he luggage compartment
cove r, ensure
t hat the openi ngs are not covered.
