• Press the brake pedal firmly with your left food
and hold it all the way down for at least 1 sec-
ond.
• At the same time, press the gas pedal all the
way down w ith your right foot until the engine
reaches and stays at a high RPM level.

- Only use the Launch control program when
road and t raff ic condi t ions all ow it and oth-
er drivers wi ll not be endangered or both -
ered by yo ur driving and t he vehicle's accel-
eration.
- Please note that the dr ive whee ls can spin
and the vehicle can break away w hen sport
mode is switched on, especially when the
road is slippery.
- Once the vehicle has started moving, press
the

button briefly to turn the sport
mode off.

Tips
- The t ransmission tempe ratu re may increase
significantly after using the launch control
program. If that happens, the program may
not be available for a few minutes. It will be
available again after a cool-down period .
- When accelerat ing using the launch contro l
program, all vehicle parts are subject to
heavy loads. This can lead to increased wear .
Transmission malfunction

Transmission : Please press brake pedal and
select gear again .
Press the brake pedal and select the desired se-
lecto r lever posit ion again. You can then continue
driving.

The tr ansm ission temperat ure has increased sig-
nificantly due to the sporty driving manner. Drive
in a less sporty manne r unt il the temperature re-
turns to the normal range and the indicator light

sion . You may contin ue driving . Drive to your au-
thorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service
Facili ty soon to have the malfunction corrected.

driving with limited functionality
There is a system malfunct ion in the t ransm is-
sion. The t ransm ission is switc hing to emergency
mode. This mode on ly shifts int o cert ain gears or
will no longer shift at all. The engine may stall.
Drive to an authorized Audi dealer or authorized
Audi Service Facility immed iately to have the
malfunction corrected.

Transmission malfunction: No reverse
gear. You can continue driving
S t ronic tra nsmission: There is a system malfunc-
tion in the tr ansmission . The transmission is
swit ching to emergency mode. This mode only
shifts into certain gears or will no longer shift at
all. The engine may stall. You cannot engage the
reverse gear. Drive to an aut hori zed Audi dealer
or authori zed Audi Service Facility immedia t ely to
have the malfunct ion corrected .

Do not cont inue driving . Select the P selector lev-
er position and see an authorized Audi dealer or
autho rized Aud i service facility for assistance .
