5. When recording telephone conversation, keep magnetized ob-
jects away from the Telephone Pickup TP-5S.
6. When recording from the earphone jack of a TV, adjust the
TV to a normal listening level.
@The Sony TC-142 has been designed with a certain order of
priorities of recording methods, as shown in the illustration.
Recording through the MIC jack takes priority over all other
recording means.
When recording through the LINE IN jack, remove any con-
nections from the MIC jack.
When recording with the built-in MICROPHONE, remove any
connections from the MIC and LINE IN jacks.
