In manual
recording,
recording
level
can
be
adjusted
to your
preference.

Proceed as follows after the cassette has been inserted
in the
Cassette
Holder, the position
of the
TAPE
SELECT
switch
has
been selected, and the Reset Button has been pushed.
1. Set the RECORD
mode selector to MANUAL.
2. Depress the PAUSE
button.
3. While depressing the RECORD
button, depress the » button.
Lock the two buttons in place.
4. Set the
MONITOR selector to SOURCE.
5. Plug the earphone into the MONITOR
jack.
While monitoring through the earphone adjust the recording
level with the
VOLUME
control
so
that
the
pointer
of the
REC/BATT
indicator deflects near O at program
peaks.
6. Depress the PAUSE
button again to release.
Recording will begin.
With
an external
microphone
To record without picking up excessive surrounding sound, use
the
Sony
Dynamic
Microphone
F-25S
(optional).
Insert
the
thicker
pin into the
MIC jack and
the thinner
pin into the
stop/start operation.
